Example of
following Terms:
SYSTOLE
Contraction of the heart (or one of its
chamber).
DIASTOLE
Relaxation of the heart (or one of its chamber).
HEART RATE
In a normal adult person it is 72 per minute on
average.
HEART SOUND
For all practical purpose there are two heart
sounds first sound & second sound.
APEX BEAT
Lower and outer most part of the heart (cardiac

ANAESTHESIA
Means complete loss of sensation in the affected
area of the skin.
PARAESTHESIA
Means abnormal sensation in the area of the
skin.

Means loss of muscular power in the affected

lower limbs.

Means the period of life during which a girl or
a boy is transformed into an adult woman or man.

Means the age of onset of the first
menstruation.
DYSMENORRHOEA
Means painful menstruation.
AMENORRHOEA
Means absence of mensturation.
MENORRHAGIA
Means excessive menstural flow.
MENOPAUSE
Means the stoppage of mensturation i.e, refers
to the last mensturation of life (about 45 years).
LEUCORRHOEA
Means white discharge per vagina.
IMPOTENCE
Means absence of eraction of the penis the male organ.
STERILITY (INFERTILITY)
Inability to impregnant the female partner (in
case of male), and inability to conceive (in case of female).
DERMATOSIS
Means non inflammatory disorders of the skin.
LEUCODERMA
White patch (due to depigmentation) in skin.
URTICARIA
Superficial circular swelling on the skin
associated with itching.
ITCHING
Means irritation of the skin making the person
scratch over the skin.
ECZEMA (SKIN REACTION)
It is an illergic reaction. |
