Arnica Montana
Homeopathic Arnica is helpful for bruising,
tissue-damage, shock, and soreness. If taken shortly after an
injury occurs, both pain and swelling may be reduced, and healing
can take place more quickly and efficiently. Conditions needing
Arnica are usually worse from touch and heat. For sprains or
deeper injuries that require days or weeks to heal, another remedy
may follow Arnica. (Some athletes take Arnica "preventively"
before a workout, to reduce the tendency toward soreness. Gels and
ointments containing the herbal form or very low dilutions may be
soothing to sore muscles.)

Chamomilla If a person is hypersensitive,
and finds discomfort unbearable to the point of seeming irritable
and angry, this remedy may help. The person will feel worse from
heat and worse at night. Relief from motion, especially vigorous
rocking, is a strong indication for Chamomilla.
This remedy is often helpful when a person is hypersensitive to
pain and the aftermath of dental work seems intolerable.
Chamomilla sometimes works when pain medications have little or no
effect, by helping the person's nerve response become more
balanced.

Aconitum A panic attack that comes on
suddenly with very strong fear (even fear of death) may indicate
this remedy. A state of immense anxiety may be accompanied by
strong palpitations, shortness of breath, and flushing of the
face. Sometimes a shaking experience will be the underlying cause.
Strong feelings of anxiety may also occur when a person is just
beginning to come down with a flu or cold.

Nux Vomica A person who needs this
remedy is nervous, irritable, impatient, easily offended, and
oversensitive to light, noise, touch, and odors. Chilliness,
cramps, and digestive upsets, with an urge to vomit or move the
bowels (with limited results) are other indications. Nux vomica is
known for its beneficial effects on conditions - acute or chronic
- related to overuse of alcohol and drugs.
